Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year my family is having our Thanksgiving dinner at a chruch in Oakland City.  I love when we all me at the church to have dinner because the is so much extra room and a gym.  It's nice for all the younger people and kids because we can play basketball and volleyball or whatever game we make up ourselves.  When we have it at the church we can have more of the family together and it's really nice because everyone's always in a good mood and everyone enjoys being together, and there's enough people there that if there's a family member you don't like you really won't have to associate with them.  This year Jessica is coming to Thanksgiving with us too, which she's basically been adopted by my family anyway so it's kind of expected.  I actually think the family would be disappointed if she didn't show up with me this year, haha.

Meet Landon McGraw

Nineteen year old Landon is starting off his summer like he usually does, working at the Grant farm. He thinks everything is going to happen like it always does, work all day, go home and take care of his mom, sleep, and start all over again. He enjoys the daily routine and he has no intentions of ever leaving his small town. Then he meets Mr. Grant's niece, Alex, who is unlike anyone he's ever known. He can't seem to stop thinking about her and thinks he might actually be in love with her. But when she's supposed to leave Landon's faced with the hardest decision of his life, following the one he loves or staying in his home town he's always known.

Movie Review

Case 39

Case 39 is a very freaky movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.  I'm not a big fan of scary movies but I always end up getting dragged to them anyway.  I'm glad my friend talked me into seeing this one though.

The movie is about Emily Jenkins (RenĂ©e Zellweger), a social worker, who gets a case on Lillith Sullivan (Jodelle Ferland), a little who is believed to be being neglected by her parents.  Emily believes the parents are seriously neglecting Lillith but has no proof, she gives Lillith her card and tells her to call her if she's ever scared.  One night Emily gets a call from Lillith but Lillith falls asleep on the phone before she can tell Emily what's going on.  Emily races to Lillith's house and gets there just in time to save Lillith from her parents.

Lillith's parents are arrested and Lillith starts living with Emily.  When Emily's friend Doug says he had an uncomfortable encounter with the girl and felt threatened by her and dies later that night Emily becomes suspicious.  She knows something is up with Lillith and starts digging around.  She finds out why Lillith's parents were trying to kill her and that Lillith is completely human.  Emily now has to find a way out of the situation she's gotten herself in without passing the curse on to someone else.

Although I don't think this is the best movie I've ever seen, I do recommend going and seeing it sometime soon.  It will definitely make the hair on the back of your neck stand up and it'll make you want to sleep with your mommy and not alone at night.

Did you know video

Q: What was the most surprising fact you learned from the video?

A:  I was surprised that Myspace in 2006 was big enough that it would've been big enough to be the 8th largest country.  It makes me wonder how big it would be now?  It also makes me wonder how big Facebook would be now. Facebook seems like it's so much more popular than Myspace that it would easily exceed being bigger than the 8th largest country.  Facebook is so popular now and so many people have connected on it that it wouldn't surprise me if it was in the top 5 of biggest countries, that is if Facebook was a country.  Facebook is so popular that it's become a verb instead of a proper noun in our day-to-day language.

Anticipation

So I'm pretty sure this weekend is going to awesome!  I'm so excited for after this week.  This week has just seemed to drag on and on, at least I only have to make it through one more day and this it's freedom!  Well at least for a couple days.

This week started off bad and has just seemed to stay in the same rut.  On Monday I slept through both of my alarms, yes I have more than one alarm, and was late for school.  Then everyday since I've been waking up late, luckily it hasn't been late enough to be late for school again.  It seems like everyday has just been kind of slow and missing something, there have been spots throughout each day that were good, but the days overall just seemed to have sucked.  One good thing about this was season 2 of GLEE came back on!  I was so excited for it to come back on, I'm pretty sure it's my all time favorite show.

Tomorrow though should be different because 1.  Last day of school for the weekend 2.  I get to go to the Between the Trees concert tomorrow night (: 3.  I get to see my cousin for the first time since she started college 4.  I get to see my bestest friend who I haven't seen since August 5.  and finally Sunday I get to go to Holiday World!  I do think my weekend will make up for the suckness factor of this week at school.  I'm very excited to see the concert tomorrow since I heard their new album Spain.  I am determined to make this a good weekend.

Some things about your's truely

I'm going to kick off my first blog with a little bit about myself. My name's Carson, I'm a senior at PCHS, I've swam and played tennis since I was in 6th grade. I love hanging out with my friends and I don't know what I'd do without them. They mean the world to me and get me through all my hard times. My favorite season of the year is fall, which is pretty much here. I can't wait for Halloween this year it's going to be a blast! My parents are divorced and they both remarried. I have two little sisters, well technically they're half-sisters, but I don't think that really matters, and they both live with my dad I have two dogs, a chocolate lab and a collie. I've had the chocolate lab since I was little and she's the best dog in the world (:

I absolutely love to read, I'm a huge bookworm.  It takes up almost all of my free time, and part of the time its takes up time that I'm supposed to be working on other things. After people find out I love to read they always ask what my favorite book/author is, but I can't give them an answer because it's way too hard to choose. Another reason I can't choose is because there are so many more books out there that I haven't read yet, and that wouldn't be fair picking a favorite before I had read every book there is to read.
A few more things I like/love are as follows: music, cookies 'n' cream ice cream, movies, giant snowflakes, peaches, rainy days, campfires, four-wheelers, swimming, late nights, carrots, animals, quoting, and cooking. Some things I dislike are: writing, spiders, early mornings, onions, fighting with friends, and tomatoes.
